Celebrate the upcoming release of POLYHYMNIA, the debut poetry collection by local poet Sheena Powell.
Enjoy a Brewery 99 craft beer, grab a snack, and receive a personalized haiku typed just for you to take home.
Sheena will also read selections from her award-recognized collection, with discounted pre-orders available before the book's October 2026 release.

Calling all 99 Friends, Family, Regulars, and Visitors!
The Swiss Bear in partnership with the Main Street Organization will be shooting a promotional video of downtown New Bern on June 24, 2026.
They are partnering with the NC Department of Commerce to promote all 72 towns participating in the NC Main Street Program across the State.
The Main-to-Main Trail is a statewide initiative led by the North Carolina Main Street & Rural Planning Center that highlights the people, places, and experiences that make our downtown unique.
This project is designed to drive tourism, increase visibility, and connect communities across North Carolina through authentic, place-based marketing. Brewery 99 will be participating in this promotion as we see this as a strong opportunity to showcase our business while contributing to a larger story about our downtown’s momentum and identity.
We encourage all who would like to be in the promotion to come to 99 on
Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 6 PM.
For anyone who will be appearing on camera, we will have printed Image Release Forms available for signature on the day of filming.
Brew-Grass Festival
Join us at Brewery 99 on Saturday, July 18, 2026 for the Brew-Grass Music Festival — a full day of bluegrass music, workshops, food, beer, and community fun.
The festival will feature live performances from local and regional bluegrass musicians beginning in the afternoon, along with morning music workshops for players of all skill levels. A portion of workshop proceeds and event fundraising efforts will benefit the RiteCare Scottish Rite Childhood Language Program, which provides speech, language, and reading therapy services for children across North Carolina.
Bring a chair, grab a beer, and enjoy a great day of live music and fellowship at Brewery 99.
Oktoberfest Vendor Fair Event
We're celebrating the best season of the year! Oktoberfest! This year we are curating a vendor fair that highlights small businesses in Eastern NC (Counties include: Craven, Pitt, Jones, Lenoir, Beaufort, Onslow, Carteret, and Pamlico) . This event will showcase goods that are made in ENC by those who call it home.
Event Details:
- Vendor Fee: $30 (non-refundable)
- Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026.
- Rain Date: Sunday, October 4, 2026
- Location: 1030 Pollock Street, New Bern, NC 28562
- Application Deadline: Friday, September 25, 2026
Vendor Requirements:
- You must live in Eastern NC (Counties include: Craven, Pitt, Jones, Lenoir, Beaufort, Onslow, Carteret, and Pamlico
- You must make your product in Eastern NC (Counties include: Craven, Pitt, Jones, Lenoir, Beaufort, Onslow, Carteret, and Pamlico
If you meet these requirements, we will notify you about your eligibility to participate in the event.

Flights are available in 4 ounce pours and provide you with the opportunity to try multiple beers (for those with commitment issues).
